AKA TALL.SKINNY CABIN | LOON LAKE, WA

A challenging ‘leftover’ parcel became the suitor for TallSkinny Cabin, providing an opportunity for a less than typical, vertical arrangement of program pieces.

Access from the road, three stories above the lake, brings the owners across an artfully designed steel bridge and into the structure. A procession down through each floor allows interactions with the rocky cliff face, adorned in moss and ferns. The ground level serves as the public space fronting the lake, where the festivities of living can occur next to the water front. A generous deck with creative sitting areas and a built-in gas fire give the perfect lake side setting for a glass of wine and a sunset.

The project is under construction and slated to finish in 2024.
